Exciting auctions at the moment!

I do see some exciting auctions in the nordic at the moment. We have several participation medals and prize medals available on the market. Please check out:

A participation medal and a prize medal from the 1912 Stockholm Olympics are up for auction. Both are in very fine condition, but be cautious when assessing their value because a suspension loop was added afterwards. They also do not include the presentation boxes that originally came with the medals.

Loops and ribbons were added to prize medals only at a later date and were never added to participation medals. That said, these medals are rarely seen in such excellent condition.

The provenance is Conrad Christensen, who competed as part of the Norwegian gymnastics team that won bronze in the “Swedish system” event. This discipline was included only in the Olympic Games of 1912 and 1920.

Prize medal / Participation medal

Three exciting auctions today at Craafords in Sweden. Participation medals from Paris, Berlin and Helsinki. They all seem to be in good condition. How ever, shipping costs may be expensive outside Sweden.
