Great finds on Tradera in December 2025!

This December, there were several interesting lots on Tradera that were snapped up quickly. Those who keep a close watch were rewarded with the chance to secure some lovely finds. At least two brooches from Stockholm 1912, which I had not previously documented, were available for purchase at a fixed price.

A slightly worn participant's medal from Amsterdam 1928 (USD75) and a judge's badge (Kämpfrichter) from Berlin 1936 could be acquired at a very generous Buy Now price. Olympic games Berlin 1936 Kämpfrichter (USD50) – Marked BÄRNARD MARKNEUKIRCHEN. But unfortunately, these KÄMPFRICHTER badges are all subject to forgery and is probably made in the 80s or 90s. And the Amsterdam 1928 medal might also be challenged in its authenticity but wight, thickness and size is confirmed to be correct but some might note that it might be a fake from Bulgaria.

There were also two brooches from Stockholm 1912, at least one of which has a similar counterpart documented in the compilation from the Coin Cabinet.

Prices were generally good, although the price for the 1936 item may have been the best deal for the buyer.

It should also be mentioned that there was a final auction from Löddeköpinge. This is the third year with very high quality items being published. Possibly the strongest I have seen at the Nordic Games, with several very rare pins and badges.

The Nordic Games can be seen as a precursor to the Olympic Winter Games, which began in 1924 in Chamonix. At the auction now, there were several medals and almost all of the games were represented with one or more different variants. And the prices became very high. The highest went for over 3,000 SEK!

There were also several different brooches from London 1948, Helsinki 1952 and a somewhat rarer (numbered) one from Melbourne 1956. They went for reasonable prices (at least I think so, as I managed to win two of them), even though Melbourne ran a bit higher. To these medals can also be added the Order of the White Rose of Finland, which was awarded among others to those who served during the Olympic Games in Helsinki 1952 and the Gustav V Medal of Merit from 1912.

Among these, there were also several unusual pins, as usual in perfect condition! The Swedish boxing team 1936 and the Idrottsbladet (Sports Paper) trip are just two examples. As usual, there was wild bidding on some of the items, and if this really was the last batch from Löddeköpinge, I hope the sellers are satisfied!
